-10, and another song

That was how cold it was last night, at the crack o' 4am when i went to bed. But yesterday during the day, i took some pics of nice sunshine outside my current work establishment....if you look carefully, you may even see the floatplane after take-off over the Fraser river!

And, after watching an interesting documentary called "Why we fight" about Americans battling anything they want with deceptive wiles, I borrowed an excerpt from Dwight Eisenhower's last speech in 1961 before relinquishing the role of President and made a little song.
A Speech

it was an excellent documentary and a good attempt...The Speech deserves applause...Dwight Eisenhower had a few things going for him...tried to ease tensions of the cold war, negotiating from military strength. In 1953, the signing of a truce brought an armed peace along the border of South Korea. The death of Stalin the same year caused shifts in relations with Russia...supposedly...Noam Chomsky might know if this is true...but who really knows...other documentaries to watch...Darwin's Nightmare...Tibet's Cry of the Snow Lion...Innocent Voices (in spanish and excellent) about war in Ecuador...good to see some people are taking interest in the world around them...:)
